Our history

The moment we discovered this idyllic countryside plot, we were captivated. With sweeping views of the Beauly Firth, rolling hills, and majestic mountains, it felt like a hidden gem—just a short 10-minute drive from the heart of Inverness. Each visit brought an overwhelming sense of calm, as if the landscape itself could melt stress away. We knew then that this peaceful haven wasn’t just meant for us. It deserved to be shared—so others could experience the serenity, beauty, and quiet magic of this remarkable place.

The charming villages of Conon Bridge, Muir of Ord, and Dingwall are just a short drive away, with the vibrant city of Inverness and its major transport hubs only 7–10 minutes from your doorstep. And for those traveling light, there's a convenient bus stop at the end of our quiet single-track road.

Our Accommodations

At Wellhouse Country Lodges, we offer a unique escape with two beautiful, architect designed lodges—each featuring two spacious bedrooms.

Each lodge boasts its own private garden and a generous, secluded decking area—ideal for taking in the breathtaking views and immersing yourself in the sights and sounds of nature.

To elevate your stay, every lodge includes a private, eco-friendly wood-burning hot tub, discreetly screened for privacy without compromising the stunning vistas or dazzling star-filled skies.

Our lodges are thoughtfully designed with both comfort and understated luxury in mind, providing a peaceful and stylish space to unwind. Whether you're here for a romantic break, a nature-inspired adventure, or simply some well-earned rest, you'll find everything you need for a truly memorable getaway.

Meet the Owners

We’re Alan, Louise, and Oliver Innes—the family behind Wellhouse Country Lodges. Born and raised in the Scottish Highlands, we’ve always felt a deep connection to this landscape.

As a family, we’re passionate about creating welcoming spaces where people can relax, recharge, and feel at home. Our lodges reflect that passion—designed with care, surrounded by nature, and full of thoughtful details that bring a little local charm to your stay.

We also own One of a Kind, our art gallery and gift shop in Inverness’s Eastgate Shopping Centre. It’s a space dedicated to celebrating Highland creativity, with every item locally sourced from talented artists and makers. You’ll find many of their beautiful pieces decorating the lodges—and if something catches your eye, you’re welcome to visit our shop to purchase your own version.

When we’re not working, we’re often out enjoying the Highlands ourselves—walking, cycling, cold water swimming and paddle boarding, soaking in the same views we’re lucky to call home. We’re excited to welcome you to Wellhouse Country Lodges and hope you’ll love this place as much as we do.
